Sometimes it’s hard to know what make up brushes you should use? What Brushes are used for what? Which brand you should buy? What brushes are good quality?
So, with that in mind I’ve decided to share with you the make up brushes I use everyday. The brushes I’m going to show you are the brushes in my everyday makeup bag so you know these are my favourites and they work well for me.
Primer / Creams
Starting off on a typical day I start by prepping my skin with MAC Strobe Cream for this I use The HD Buffer P230 from powdernpout. I find this brush is best used for applying strobe creams and primers. I have a few different brushes from Powdernpout which will always be in my makeup bag I love this brand.
I use the F20 Buffer Brush Hot Pink/Gold from Blankcanvascosmetics. I love the soft feel of the brush on my face. It has a large head so you can apply a little or a lot of product to your brush. I’ve had mine for ages it’s keep all it’s hairs and washes up really well.
Loose powders or bronzing
The F39 Dome Powder Brush Hot Pink/Gold is perfect. I use mine to apply Laura Mercier loose powder all over my face and if I need bronzer this is also the brush I reach for. Again I find any brushes from BlankCanvasCosmetics are of excellent quality and if you mind them, store them right and wash them carefully they will last you a long time.
A great make up brush set to start off with is the Cara Professional 14 Pce Make Up Brush Set. I picked up this set about two years ago I still use most of the brushes now. The eye shadow brushes in this set are particularly soft , round and puffy perfect for eye makeup.
I swear by INGLOT eyebrow gel and to apply this I originally bought the INGLOT Makeup Brush 31T. You can pick it up in any INGLOT store and it will cost you €14.00. However, one day I was stuck so I ran into Penneys’ and bought a €1.50 make up brush. One end had an angled tip the other is a spoolie. I have to say I find myself using the cheap Penney’s brush all the time now. It’s small and easy to hold. Perfect for my brows anyway! https://inglot.ie/
They are my most used and most loved brushes. The ones I throw into my makeup bag, handbag or suitcase if i’m going anywhere those are the brushes that have to come with me! I hopes this helps anyone looking for good quality brushes that will last you and I’ve truly tested these ones very well.
